A short collection, described honestly

Spa Alpin exists because searching for a spa hotel in the Alps is unpleasant. Large travel sites list everything and recommend nothing; hotel websites describe every property as exceptional. Neither helps you decide where to spend a considerable amount of money on three days of rest.

We publish a small number of hotels across Chamonix, Annecy and Aix-les-Bains. Each one is chosen on four things: the quality of the hotel itself, the depth of the spa experience, the setting, and its reputation with guests over time. If a property is good at one of those and weak at the others, it is not here.

We also try to be specific about what is not good. Where a spa is small, we say so. Where the outdoor pool is unheated in April, we say so. Being useful matters more than being enthusiastic.
